Contribute to creation of a procurement strategy for EITC by analyzing vendor performance and company spend trends and provide recommendation on proposed sourcing strategy for Network function.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Procurement and contracts managers.
Act as the primary liaison between the network procurement department and internal stakeholders, including requesters, finance, and legal teams
Develop and finalize the annual Sourcing plan for Network Units to forecast our purchasing requirement for a year.
Plan and develop the different categories of network procurement (Mobile network, Fixed access, transport, core, Civil works, Electromechanical, and others)
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, while implementing best practices.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and process improvements. Develop and execute initiatives to optimize procurement expenditures while maintaining quality and service levels, and track savings performance against targets.
Ensure that the organization is purchasing needed goods and services and optimal price.
Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service levels, while mitigating risks.
Foster and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key suppliers to drive collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Regularly review supplier performance, address any issues proactively, and work jointly with suppliers to enhance value and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supplier performance, procurement efficiency, and overall effectiveness of the procurement strategy.
Present bi-weekly update reports to management on department activities and performance against KPI’s.
Key Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
12 plus years working experience.
4 years plus in a similar function in a telecom operator.
5 years plus experience in people and team management.
Bachelor degree in Engineering or Business Administration
In-depth Knowledge of key telecom network elements and pricing structures of suppliers’ contracts.
High level technical knowledge of non-telecom goods and services.
Knowledge of contract laws, and a complete understanding of corporate terms and conditions.
Total cost minded.
Excellent communication and Negotiation skills
Excellent skills in people management.
Very good skills in generating reports and analytics.
Planning and strategic thinking, Leadership skills
Ability to manage relationships with stakeholders.
Excellent verbal & written English
Good Knowledge of ERP system (Oracle).
